Saint Stephen’s students to square off in battle of wits
Students from Saint Stephen’s Episcopal in Bradenton are headed to the National Academic Quiz Tournaments’ High School National Championship Tournament, which will be held this weekend in Atlanta.
Students in the competitive academic tournament work in teams of four and are quizzed on their knowledge of history, science, literature, fine arts, geography, the social sciences and current events. The matches include both individual competitions and team collaborative events.
Saint Stephen’s entered two teams in the tournament last year, and one made the playoffs, ultimately finishing 72nd out of 272.
Students Jack Berry, Sidney Knowles, Gaby Pung, and MacKenzie Rumage will represent Saint Stephen’s, and they will be coached by Christina Pommer.
