Rod Thomson appointed as trustee for State College of Florida
TALLAHASSEE Rod Thomson, 56, of Sarasota, was appointed Tuesday to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, District Board of Trustees by Florida Gov. Rick Scott.
Thomson, is president and owner of The Thomson Group, a Sarasota-based public relations firm, and received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He has been appointed to fill a vacant seat for a term ending May 31, 2020.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
