Students with fewer than 24 credits left to complete at degree at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, may be eligible for a special scholarship.
The “Stay and Complete” scholarship is available for 2016 high school graduates who have a 3.25 grade point average and 24 or fewer credits left toward their associate of arts degrees.
Scholarship applications are due by Aug. 5 and award notices will be sent out Aug. 12. All awards are based on academic performance. Applicants must be 2016 graduates who were dual enrolled students of SCF living in Manatee, Sarasota or Charlotte counties, and they must be enrolled in a valid degree program and taking courses required for their degree.

- File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov,
- meet with a graduation specialist,
- complete an application and sign a declaration of intent to complete a degree with SCF, and
- apply by Aug. 5.
