Westside Christian Church giving away 250 student backpacks

More than 250 backpacks filled with school supplies will be available during the Westside Christian Church’s annual Back2School Bash.

The event, which also includes free hot dogs, sno-cones and inflatable bouncers for children, is planned for from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6 at 3604 15th Ave. W.

Backpacks will be handed out starting at 11 a.m. and the child must be present. The backpacks are for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade.
