Music, food and campus tours will all be part of a “Welcome Back Bash” planned for State College of Florida students.

The event will be an opportunity for new students to get their IDs and parking passes, as well as gather information on student services and support resources. Staff and student ambassadors will be on hand to help new students find their classrooms and to offer guided tours of the campus. Prospective students also will have an opportunity to enroll in classes.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 16 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Anyone who arrives by 1 p.m. can attend orientation, sign up for classes and make it to the event by 4 p.m.

The festival, which takes place a week before the first day of the Fall semester, also offers new and returning students an opportunity to meet and network. Faculty will return to SCF full-time on Aug. 18. Students return for Fall classes Aug. 22.
