Cheerleaders from Manatee High School brought goodies to local police departments recently as a show of gratitude.

“We see your cause and we want you to know we appreciate it,” read the letter given to local departments, including Bradenton Police Department and Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. “We can never thank you enough for everything you do and stand for.”

Coach Ashley Choate said the team bought or made goodies and wrote letters.

“I'm really proud of them because they came up with the idea all on their own,” she said.
