State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
The college was established Sept. 17, 1957, and has also been known as Manatee Junior College and Manatee Community College. SCF has graduated more than 47,000 students since its first commencement in 1959, according to officials.

SCF announcements for each event will be released as they draw closer including the Foundation’s Scholarship Luncheon, Avenues and Evening Under the Stars.
Serving more than 15,000 students each year, SCF offers a complete college experience that includes athletics, more than 40 student clubs and organizations, honors programs and student-centered academics.
