Three more charged with burglaries at Anna Maria Island marina

Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office have arrested the last three suspects in the burglary at Galati Marina.

The suspects charged with burglary are juveniles ages 17, 16, and 15.

These arrests come after two other suspects were charged with breaking into four yachts at an Anna Maria Island marina — break-ins that were caught on video, according to the sheriff’s office.

Those first charged in the July 17 break-ins at Galati Marina, 900 S. Bay Blvd., were Tyler Hollingshead, 23, who faces three counts of burglary and one count of armed burglary; and Jacob Bennett, 18, who faces four counts of burglary and one count of dealing in stolen property.

During the break-ins, the sheriff’s office said burglars entered four yachts that were in the marina’s dry dock area. The property taken including a shotgun and a handgun, according to a release.
