Man charged with masturbating at beach

A Bradenton man has been charged with masturbating at the public showers and restroom area on Coquina Beach, according to the Bradenton Beach Police Department.

Michael Drager, 53, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Monday and charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition, according to an arrest report. He is being held at the Manatee County jail on a $7,500 bond.

At 10:21 a.m., police were called out to the public showers and restroom area of the public beach, and found Drager was sitting naked on a bench near the outdoor showers, the Bradenton Beach police officer reported. Drager told the officer he was just changing his clothes.

The woman who had reported the man told police Drager had been masturbating while sitting on the bench with one of his legs hanging over the arm rest, according to police. The woman said Drager had been moaning and did not stop when he saw her looking at him.
