Palmetto woman charged with assault after fight

A Palmetto woman was charged with assault after charging a victim following a fight, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Kate Wolfe, 49, was arrested at 3:11 p.m. Tuesday in the 4300 block of Cortez Road. According to a report, Wolfe told police she and the victim fought and Wolfe said she did not want any law enforcement action taken. Police said Wolfe was tended by paramedics for minor lacerations and given a bandage.

According to the report, the victim was at a Stop & Pick at 4300 Cortez Rd. W. when Wolfe crossed the street then charged toward the victim and began threatening her. According to the report, Wolfe said she would cause physical harm to the victim, who began backing away. Wolfe again charged the victim in an aggressive manner, police said.

Police stopped the confrontation and charged Wolfe with assault, according to the report. Wolfe was held in Manatee County jail on $120 bond, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office website.
