Man robbed at knifepoint in Bradenton

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery in which the suspect held a knife to a victim’s neck while demanding money.

The incident happened at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of 49th Avenue West in the Holiday Heights neighborhood. According to a release, a 38-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle along the roadway when he was approached by the suspect, who then held a knife to the victim’s neck while demanding money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene, deputies said.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot male with dreads and wearing a white long-sleeved shirt. The victim was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.
