Police charge 39-year-old woman with breaking into Bradenton residence


A Bradenton woman has been charged with breaking into a residence, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Carolyn Sue Luna, 39, was arrested at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday.

At 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a burglary report at a residence in the 120 block of 13th Avenue West . The victim told police he heard someone break in through a door. According to a report, the victim said he saw a woman leaving the residence and described her. A pair of size 8 1/2 shoes were found at the scene, police said.

Officers who stopped at the One Stop Center, 701 17th Ave. W., Bradenton, saw a woman who matched the description. According to the report, the victim told police Luna was the person he saw leaving his residence. Luna told police she went to the One Stop Center, left and returned a couple of times Wednesday morning. She said her shoe size was 8 1/2 or 9.

Luna was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and held in Manatee County jail on $3,500 bond, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office website.
