Home invasion robbery reported in Lakewood Ranch

Two masked assailants got away with about $160 during a home invasion robbery about 9:45 p.m. Thursday in Lakewood Ranch, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman and four juveniles were around the pool at a residence in the 6100 block of Blue Runner Court, listening to music and counting money on a table when the robbers entered through an unlocked screen door, punched two victims and demanded money, according to a news release.

The robbers grabbed the money and a wallet belonging to a victim and ran, according to the sheriff’s office.
