Video of burglar who robbed Sarasota clothing store needs ID
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office needs help identifying a burglary they say broke into a women’s clothing store and stole cash from the business.
At 9 p.m. June 3, deputies were called to Draper’s and Damon’s, 4820 S. Tamiami Trail, after management called the sheriff’s office about an alarm, according to a news release. Surveillance video captured iamges of the suspect rummaging through bank deposit bags before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a man in his late 30s with medium build, about 5-foot-11, with dark facial hair often referred to as a chin strap, the release states. At the time of the burglary, the suspect was wearing a Salt Life T-shirt, denim or camouflage shorts, a dark hat and dark sneakers.
