Gunman robs Circle K store in East Manatee

A gunman robbed a Circle K store early Tuesday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

At 6:09 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the Circle K convenience store, 3304 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton, to reports of an armed robbery, according to a news release.

The convenience store clerk told deputies that robber had come in the store, took a drink from the cooler and then pointed a gun at clerk demanding money. The suspect then fled the area with an unknown amount of cash, according to the report.

The gunman was described as being between 20 and 30 years old.

No injuries were reported.
