Palmetto man charged with spraying neighbor with power washer, fighting her husband
A Palmetto man was charged with two counts of battery after fighting with a neighbor and spraying his wife with a power washer, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Rodney Leroy Piatt, 57, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the 5600 block of Bayshore Road. Piatt and the victims are neighbors, deputies said.
Piatt was arguing with the victims when he sprayed the female victim with a power washer. The victim’s husband pulled her from the force of the spray and Piatt fought the male victim and injured his face and right arm.
Piatt was charged with two counts of simple battery, according to the sheriff’s office website. Bonding information was not immediately available.
