Two arrested in connection to graffiti in downtown Bradenton

Bradenton police arrested Gary R. Barringer, 24, and 28-year-old Steven W. Ferguson, both of Palmetto, after responding to a 4:27 a.m. call May 28 of spray painters on the roof of a business in the 1200 block of Manatee Avenue West.

Police said the taggers confessed to vandalizing six locations over the past two months and were charged with criminal chief and loitering and prowling.

Barringer and Ferguson were released from jail after posting bonds totaling $1,620 each.

The police department recorded 16 similar acts since March 13. Anyone with further information on the case can call officer Andres Perez at 941-932-9354.
