The Bradenton Police Department is asking for help identifying a bank robbery suspect.
At approximately 11:12 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a robbery at Chase Bank, 4915 Manatee Ave. E., Bradenton. The suspect entered the bank, implied a weapon and demanded cash, according to a release. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Bradenton police officers and members of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unitwere not able to locate the suspect, the release states.
We need somebody to look at this picture and be able to identify this guy before he commits another another robbery.
Bradenton Police Lt. James Racky
The male suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 to 6-foot, weighing 160-180 pounds, with dark hair and a receding hair line. Police said the suspect was also wearing a white/black/blue plaid button-down shirt and black shorts with a gray vertical stripe down each side.
“We have received a couple of tips of identification of the suspect,” Bradenton police Lt. James Racky said Tuesday. “So far, all tips have proven to be the wrong person so we are getting very little help right now. We definitely need more input from the citizens. We need somebody to look at this picture and be able to identify this guy before he commits another another robbery.”
Racky said no weapon was actually seen by bank employees.
“We’re just hoping for community support — involvement,” he added. “Somebody knows who this guy is and we need to get him caught and put him in jail.”
Anyone having information on the robbery can call Bradenton police at 932-9300, ext. 305, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-634-8477 or send an anonymous tip to manateecrimestoppers.com.
