Man robbed in Bradenton in drug deal gone bad
A 55-year-old man trying to sell drugs was beaten and robbed by his would-be customer and two men, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
About midnight Monday, a woman led the victim to the 200 block of 60th Avenue Drive West in Bradenton so she could buy drugs. Once there, two men — one of whom had a gun — entered the vehicle and robbed the man of his cell phone, wallet and $680 in cash, according to a news release.
“The victim fought back and was struck with either the handgun or a bottle,” the news release states.
