Four men arrested, one wanted following Sarasota prostitution sting

SARASOTA -- Four men, including one from Sarasota and one from Venice, were arrested Thursday as the result of a prostitution operation targeting individuals soliciting prostitutes, according to the Sarasota Police Department.

The agency's Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Narcotics Unit and Patrol Division, conducted the operation along North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Four men were arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution, police said. The Venice man is wanted after fleeing from officers.

According to a report, one vehicle was also seized as a result of the operation.
