Jewelry stolen in burglary at Sears at DeSoto Square in Bradenton

Jewelry was stolen during a burglary late Sunday at the Sears store at DeSoto Square mall in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

About 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to a burglary alarm at Sears, 303 301 Blvd. W., which is across the street from the sheriff’s office’s operations center.

Deputies checked the store but found the burglar or burglars, who took an undetermined amount of jewelry, had already fled, according to a news release.
