Masked gunman robs 7-Eleven store in Sarasota
SARASOTA -- A masked gunman early Wednesday robbed a 7-Eleven store in Sarasota, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
About 4:19 a.m., the gunman walked into the store at 1721 N. Honore Ave., pointed a black pistol at the clerk and stole cash, before fleeing the area, according to to a news release.
The robber was described as a man standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask, dark jacket, dark nylon pants with a white stripe, grey sneakers and white gloves, according to the report.
Deputies were unable to locate a suspect, and the investigation is continuing.
