Bradenton police investigating armed robbery, shooting at 7-Eleven
BRADENTON -- The Bradenton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store and the shooting of a customer.
At 11:28 p.m. Sunday, the armed robbery and shooting at the 7-Eleven at 3332 Manatee Ave. W. in Bradenton was reported to police.
A 33-year-old Bradenton man in the 7-Eleven was shot and reported in stable condition as of late Tuesday morning.
Bradenton police Lt. James Racky said the suspect walked into the convenience store with a silver handgun and demanded money from the clerk and customer.
"The suspect shot the customer in the right arm," Racky said.
The clerk and customer gave up an undetermined amount of money, he added. The suspect fled the store westbound. Bradenton police K-9 tracked the area to no avail, according to Racky.
