Police dog nabs trespassing suspect at Home Depot in Bradenton
MANATEE -- A 52-year-old man was arrested early Friday, after he entered a storage shed at a Home Depot store and refused to come out, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies used a police dog to apprehend Christopher Hobbs, according to a news release.
About 2 a.m., an employee at Home Depot, 2350 Cortez Road W., saw Hobbs enter the shed.
Responding deputies several times ordered Hobbs to come out but he refused. Eventually, a police dog was able to open the shed's door. The dog engaged Hobbs, and he was arrested, according to the sheriff's office.
After being treated by paramedics on the scene, Hobbs was taken to the Manatee County jail, where he is being held on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest without violence.
He is being held on bonds totaling $620, according to the jail's website.
