Bradenton police raids net drugs, gun - and dogs
BRADENTON -- Four people were arrested during police raids at three residences in the past week, as officers responded to complaints of drug-related activity at the targeted locations, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Search warrants were executed:
In the 1100 block of Third Street West where officers found narcotics paraphernalia. Code enforcement tagged the house as uninhabitable. Animal services took eight dogs caged in the backyard. Alvoid Kennon, 37, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest and failing to appear in court on a Pinellas County warrant.
In the 1900 block of Seventh Avenue East where officers recovered two handguns, rock cocaine and marijuana. Christy Barton, 30, was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine
and possession of marijuana. James Scott, 42, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of marijuana.
In the 2000 block of 12th Street West where officers recovered 589 grams of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Charles Terry, 52, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
