Two Clearwater men charged with trafficking Ecstasy in Sarasota
SARASOTA -- Two Clearwater men are facing drug trafficking charges after undercover detectives seized more than 500 Ecstasy pills, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
Daniel Ajazi, 25, and Paul Jenkinson, 29, are each charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of phenethylamines, or MDMA, according to a news release. They are each being held without bond at the Sarasota County jail.
On Tuesday morning, detectives seized a package containing 507 ecstasy pills after it was delivered to the 3600 block of Dover Drive in Sarasota during the execution of a search warrant. Ajazi arrived to pickup the package but was instead arrested by undercover detectives.
Ajazi admitted to knowing the ecstasy pills were in the package. The estimated street value of the pills is more than $10,000.
Jenkinson, who coordinated the delivery, was also arrested, according to the report.
