SARASOTA -- A Indiana man and Sarasota couple are facing charges after nearly a pound of marijuana was seized from the man's vehicle and the couple's home, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday afternoon, Robert and Tasha Brehm's home in the 5200 block of Lahaina Drive in Sarasota, known to be a drug house, was under surveillance by undercover detectives when Gene Petrosky was seen visiting for what was a suspected drug transaction, according to a news release.

Detectives made a traffic stop on Petrosky, 68, afterwards and a K-9 alerted them to drugs being in his vehicle. More than 230 grams of marijuana was found inside a duffle bag hidden inside the center console, according to the sheriff's office.

When detectives subsequently searched the Brehms' home after obtaining a search warrant, an additional 230 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found.

Petrosky is charged with possession of cannabis over 20 grams. He was released from the Sarasota County jail on Monday on a $1,500 bond.

Robert Brehm, 60, and Tasha Brehm, 53, were each charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of narcotics equipment. They were each released on bonds totaling $2,000 each from the Sarasota County jail on Monday.
