MANATEE -- A 26-year-old man who barricaded himself into his home as deputies tried to investigate a domestic assault report was subdued without injury in an incident that began at 5:10 p.m. Saturday.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported Timur Yunusova threatened to kill them when deputies went to a residence in the 3700 block of 14th Street West to defuse a reported "domestic situation."
Yunusova reportedly barricaded himself in the residence and refused to surrender when deputies arrived.
Several announcements were made, along with the presence of K9 Loki, trying to get Yunusova to surrender.
When he did not comply, the deputies tried to enter but Yunusova had barricaded the door with a couch he was laying on.

Emergency Medical Services personnel treated Yunusova on scene then transported him to Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
