Sarasota deputies investigating robbery at SunTrust Bank

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery tat roughly 5:57 p.m. Friday at SunTrust Bank, at 4981 Ringwood Meadow, Sarasota.

According to the release, one suspect entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing southbound.

The report did not indicate whether any money was actually taken by the robber.

Deputies describe the suspect as a male in his mid-30s, approximately 5-foot-11 and weighing approximately 175 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, dark hat, dark shirt and a dark bandanna.
