Kyle Stackhouse of Bradenton held without bond on murder charge
BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man charged with killing a man in retaliation for another shooting was ordered to be held in jail without bond.
Early March 21, Manatee County sheriff's deputies responded to shots fired in the 4300 block of Eighth Street Court East.
Nicolette Johnson, 24, was found laying in a driveway with multiple gunshot wounds when deputies arrived. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Kyle Dewayne Stackhouse, 27, was identified two days later as the suspect in the shooting after detectives received a Crimestoppers tip and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Stackhouse was apprehended March 28 in Jonesboro, Ga., and was transported Thursday to face the murder charge in Manatee County.
On Friday afternoon, Stackhouse appeared before Circuit Judge Diana Moreland for a first-appearance hearing.
Moreland ordered that he be held without bond. She also ordered that he have no contact with the victim's family.
