Bradenton murder suspect booked into Manatee County jail
MANATEE -- A Bradenton man charged with killing another man in retaliation for a previous shooting was booked Thursday into Manatee County jail to face the charge of second-degree murder.
Early March 21, Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the 4300 block of Eighth Street Court East in Bradenton.
Deputies found Nicolette Johnson, 24, lying in a driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Johnson was
pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Kyle Dewayne Stackhouse, 27, was identified two days later by detectives as the suspect in the shooting and they obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On March 28, Stackhouse was apprehended in Jonesboro, Ga., where he was held without bond until being transported to Manatee County jail.
Stackhouse will make a first appearance before a Manatee County judge at 1 p.m. Friday.
A Crimestoppers tip led detectives to Stackhouse as the suspected shooter.
Stackhouse's criminal history includes arrests for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of domestic battery in 2013 in Manatee County that were dropped, and a charge of armed home invasion in Sarasota County in 2014 that also was dropped. He also has convictions for driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license with knowledge and failing to register a vehicle.
