Cops: Woman tased after refusing to leave ex's house, kicking at Manatee deputies

MANATEE -- A woman was arrested Wednesday night after refusing to leave her ex's house and trying to kick law enforcement, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to the 6100 block of 55th Avenue Circle East at 10 p.m. when Amy Brusnahan, 40, refused to leave her ex's home after being told several times, according to a release.

Deputies said they escorted her out of the home and she pulled away from them several times, eventually falling on the ground and kicking at the deputies.

Brusnahan was told to stop and when she didn't comply they hit her with a stun gun, according to the release. She immediately complied and was arrested.

Brusnahan was arrested and is being held in the Manatee County jail.
