MANATEED -- A driver with five arrest warrants for sale of heroin was arrested about 6 p.m. Friday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

Detectives from the sheriff's Special Investigations Division had conducted a narcotics investigation that resulted in five warrants for Dominique Truvell, 28, for sale of heroin. All the narcotic deals took place with Truvell while he was driving a 2003 Cadillac, the sheriff's office reports.

Truvell would use this vehicle to travel and make the narcotic's transactions. During these transactions, Truvell would frequently have additional narcotics in his possession.

A sheriff's detective saw Truvell driving the Cadillac at 18th Street East and 26th Avenue East. The detective followed Truvell to a nearby residence where he was arrested without incident.

After his arrest, detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The Special Investigations Division was contacted and wrote a search warrant for the vehicle.

During their search, detectives found 26 grams of marijuana. No other contraband was located.

In addition to his arrest warrants, Truvell was charged with driving while suspended with knowledge, and possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
