Man, 28, arrested after traffic stop on warrants for allegedly dealing heroin in Manatee County

BRADENTON -- A suspect wanted on five arrest warrants for alleged heroin dealing was arrested Friday evening after deputies recognized his Cadillac, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Dominique L. Truvell, 28, was arrested after being pulled over in the 2300 block of 18th Street East in Bradenton.

Detectives from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Division had been conducting a narcotics

investigation that resulted in five arrest warrants for Truvell for the sale of heroin, the report said.

All the heroin deals with Truvell took place while he was driving a 2003 Cadillac, the report said.

A deputy observed Truvell driving the Cadillac on Friday at 18th Street East and 26th Ave East and followed the vehicle to a nearby residence where Truvell was arrested without incident for the five outstanding arrest warrants.

During the arrest, detectives smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and obtained a search warrant, finding 26 grams of marijuana, the report said.

In addition to his arrest warrants, Truvell was charged with driving while suspended and possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
