Smoker from Cortez Clam Factory stolen

CORTEZ -- A smoker from Cortez Clam Factory was stolen over the weekend, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.

"Attention to all of our Clam Factory Family. Someone had the nerve to steal our smoker over the weekend," the post read. "As you know it's a pretty huge smoker."

Anyone who has seen anything out of the norm is encouraged to contact the restaurant at 941-798-9898. Since it was published Monday afternoon, the post has garnered more than 45 shares on Facebook and more than 10 comments from supporters.

The Herald was unable to leave a message to the restaurant for comment.
