MANATEE -- A man wanted in connection with a recent fatal shooting of a man in Bradenton was arrested Monday morning in Georgia, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

"Kyle Stackhouse was arrested this morning in Jonesboro, Ga., and charged with murder," sheriff's office spokesman Dave Bristow wrote in an email.

Detectives with the sheriff's office obtained an arrest warrant for murder for the 27-year-old Stackhouse on March 23 for the shooting of 24-year-old Nicolette Johnson two days prior.

According to an earlier release, Johnson was found shot to death early that Monday morning in the 4300 block of Eighth Street Court East. Detectives found Johnson lying in the driveway of his residence with gunshot wounds, deputies said. He was pronounced dead by

paramedics.

Bristow last week said detectives believe it was a targeted attack.

"At this time, it's unknown as to when Stackhouse will be returned to Manatee County," Bristow concluded in his email. No further information was provided.

Johnson worked as a cook at WingHouse in Bradenton, and was described as a good, reliablec employee, the Herald previously reported.

His death is the 12th reported homicide in Manatee County for 2016.
