Manatee School For the Arts student reported missing

PALMETTO -- A Manatee School for the Arts student has been reported missing, according to a post on the school's Facebook page.

"One of our high school students, Hayley Gaines, has been reported missing since early Friday morning," the post read.

Sheriff's office spokesman Dave Bristow told the Herald that Hayley was reported as a runaway Friday.

Anyone with information on Hayley's whereabouts is encouraged to contact Terence Devine at the school at 721-6800, ext. 1139, or Joy Fitzpatrick at ext. 1124.

"If you receive information outside of school business hours please contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Department at 941-747-3011 or your local police department," the post concluded.
