Two Sarasota men charged with selling heroin
SARASOTA -- Two Sarasota men face drug charges after undercover detectives say they bought heroin from them multiple times over several weeks, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
Andrew McFarlane, 34, and Jeffrey Komisar, 58, were arrested Thursday, according to reports. They each had warrants for their arrest charging them with each with two counts of sale of heroin and one count of principle to sale of heroin.
McFarlane and Komisar both had sold heroin to undercover detectives several times over the last few weeks, according to the sheriff's office.
When arrested, McFarlane had more than 9 grams of heroin, 2 grams of cocaine and nearly $1,500 in his possession, the reports state. As a result, he was also charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to sell.
Both
McFarlane is being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail. If bond is set, McFarlane will have to prove that the source of funds are not from illegal means. Komisar is being on $60,000 bond.
