Search underway for missing Sarasota mother, 2 daughters
SARASOTA -- Detectives are searching for a missing Sarasota mother and her two daughters. They are considered to be in danger, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
Hidalia Bernal-Reyes, 30, and her daughters Noemi Olivares, 13, and Claudia Olivares, 9, were last seen Saturday at their home in the 2100 block of 11th Place in Freedom Village in Sarasota, according to a news release.
The children have not attended school since March 11, police said.
"They also have not had contact with friends or family since the weekend which is very unusual for the family," the release stated.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a missing child alert.
All three have brown hair and brown eyes. Hidalia Bernal-Reyes is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weigh 140 pounds. Noemi Olivares is 5 feet tall and weigh 80 pounds. Claudia Olivares is 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weigh 60 pounds.
