Sarasota deputies looking for man who stole $800 from woman at ATM
SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a man who stole $800 from an 83-year-old woman at a bank in Sarasota on Monday afternoon, according to a news release.
The victim had been using the ATM at the Bank of America, 3600 Bee Ridge Road, when the man interrupted her and said that the other ATM was broken. The suspect stepped in front of her and withdrew $800 from her account and then left in a grey or silver colored vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
Surveillance photos show the suspect to be a heavyset man with facial hair, appearing to be in his early 30's and was wearing a light-blue striped shirt.
