Intoxicated Bradenton man charged with smashing vehicle windshield outside bar

BRADENTON -- An intoxicated Bradenton man was charged with punching and damaging the windshield of someone's vehicle outside a Bradenton bar, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Mark H. Wood, 29, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. Saturday outside Cork's Cigar Bar, 424 12th St. W., Bradenton. At 10:52 p.m., Wood was seen walking towards the victim's vehicle parked out front of the bar, deputies said. According to a report, Wood punched the victim's vehicle windshield until a hole was created through it.

Deputies said the approximate cost of the vehicle windshield is $200.

According to the report, a witness told deputies what she saw. After Wood was arrested, he told deputies that he is just a bad person and needs help. Deputies said he was intoxicated during the incident.

Wood was charged with criminal mischief and released Sunday from Manatee County jail on $120 bond, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
