Unidentified Manatee County female seriously injured by hit-and-run driver

MANATEE -- The Florida Highway Patrol is trying to identify a woman found in the roadway at the intersection of 15th Street East and 26th Avenue East at 3:20 a.m. Saturday.

FHP reported the black female pedestrian in her early 40s had been struck by a vehicle. She was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with serious injuries.

FHP reported the woman had no ID and there were no witnesses to the crash.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
