Bradenton man charged with transmitting child porn through the Internet

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man has been charged with transmitting child pornography through the Internet, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Vincent Tyler Alexander, who turned 21 Thursday, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his residence.

On Oct. 14, 2015, an investigation was started into Alexander transmitting child pornography through the Internet. During the preliminary stages of the investigation, deputies determined Vincent uploaded an image file containing child pornography.

Investigation determined the file was uploaded from Vincent's residence, according to a release.

Alexander was arrested and charged with transmission of child pornography and sexual performance by a child, deputies said. He was held in Manatee County jail without bond, according to sheriff's office spokesman Dave Bristow.

The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff's office said.
