Clearwater police: Car stolen, now searching for missing child
CLEARWATER -- Clearwater police are looking for a missing child who was in a car that was stolen earlier and then crashed.
Police say the car was stolen from Boylan Avenue, and then crashed on U.S. 19 just south of Curlew Road.
Police say Ismyel Dinero Badillo, 3, was in the back of the car when it was stolen. They say he was not in the car when it crashed.
Ismyel was last seen wearing orange shirt, black shorts and black shoes.
Officials say the driver is in custody and is being checked for injuries by paramedics.
