BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with throwing big rocks at a window of the Women's Resource Center of Manatee, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Brian J. Chicurel, 37, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. in the 1900 block of Manatee Avenue West, according to the report.

Police responded to the Women's Resource Center at 1926 Manatee Ave. W. for a possible burglary in progress with a subject throwing rocks at a window.

Police found Chicurel standing by the front bushes in between the sidewalk and business front, according to the report. Chicurel ran across the 1900 block of Manatee Avenue West after seeing police emergency lights.

Chicurel was soon apprehended and told police: "It's not me. You have the wrong guy."

He reportedly said he was surprised police didn't set up a perimeter to catch the suspect.

No entry was made into the Women's Resource Center, police said.
