4 arrested in Sarasota prostitution sting

SARASOTA -- Four men were arrested this week during an undercover operation targeting prostituiton along Tamiami Trail, according to the Sarasota Police Department.

The four men -- two from Sarasota and one each from Bradenton and Palmetto -- were arrested Thursday in the 4700 block of North Tamiami Trail. They were each charged with solicitation of prostitution, according to police. One of the men also was charged with possession of marijuana.

The police departments's Street Crimes and Narcotics units conducted the sting, police said.
