Bradenton man charged with kicking man unconscious at bar
BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with kicking a fellow bar patron after an argument, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Christopher Monroe, 25, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. Saturday at Lost Kangaroo Pub, 406 12th St. W., Bradenton. According to a report, Monroe and the victim got into a verbal altercation that turned physical when the victim tripped over Monroe's feet and fell to the ground. An officer witnessed Monroe run over to the victim and kick him in the face with his right leg. Police said the kick rendered the victim unconscious for a brief period of time.
According to the report, the kick chipped the victim's two front teeth. The victim told police that his teeth were not chipped prior to the attack.
Monroe admitted to kicking the victim.
Monroe was charged with aggravated battery and was released the following day on $15,000 bond, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office website.
