Man robbed in Bradenton home invasion

BRADENTON -- A man told police that four armed men pushed their way into his home and robbed him early Monday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The victim said he answered a knock on his front door in the 4500 block of Sixth Avenue East at 2:23 a.m. and was subsequently attacked by four men, according to a report.

The victim told police one man brandished a handgun and they took his cell phone and "a small amount of currency." They ran away and the victim said his finger was injured in the incident.

Police located one of the suspects, whose name was not provided in the report, and took him into custody.
