Woman cut in face in dispute over boyfriend in Bradenton

BRADENTON -- A woman was stabbed in the face by her longtime friend during a dispute over a boyfriend on the eve of Valentine's Day, according to Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

Priscilla Brown, 47, is facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly swinging a butter knife at her friend, a 36-year-old woman, causing a small laceration the left side of the victim's face in the 5700 block of 10th Street East, Bradenton.

Investigators said the two women have known each other for several years, and a confrontation began over the victim's boyfriend late Saturday evening.

Brown was being held Sunday in the Manatee County jail under $1,500 bond.
