Deputies: Bradenton murder suspect still in the area

MANATEE -- Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies are still searching for 20-year-old Robert Eugene Brewer, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Kevin McCants on Dec. 19.

Deputies report he is still in the area.

About 11:45 a.m. Dec. 19, witnesses told detectives up to four men in a black Toyota Camry pulled up to the 1000 block of 33rd Avenue East in Bradenton and shot McCants. Multiple witnesses identified Brewer as the shooter, according to authorities.

Brewer is facing second-degree murder charges. He is considered armed and dangerous.
